This scene is from one of my favorite episodes of my one of my favorite shows, Hacks on HBO.
This production was in May of 2021, still in the height of the pandemic. We were masked for the entirety of shooting, and outdoors. Even with all these restrictions, the community and joy in this process makes it one of my fondest memories at the Theatre School. Off set, we were laughing, singing, and laying in the park, in what I believe was our own little Forest of Arden (as cheesy as I know it sounds).
I am formally trained in the tuba (therefore I can read music, both bass and treble clef), but never had my own. in the summer of 2020, I kept having dreams about finally getting my own Tuba. I couldn't find one that I could afford anywhere, until my dear friend sent a Facebook Marketplace listing for a pristine condition euphonium. I have been making my neighbors crazy ever since. I also can play the ukulele, and given enough time to practice can relearn the clarinet.
